The Coleman Online Academy is a public, tuition free school. Students must reside in the Midland ISD attendance zone.
Students who are enrolled in the Coleman online Academy are assigned a full schedule of classes with courses designated for specific periods based on an individual student’s needs. On any given day, students may be working independently on follow-up or practice assignments, or they may be receiving “live,” synchronous instruction.
Students enrolled in the online academy are encouraged to be active in the community and some students that participate in club sports or similar activities may find online the best option. With that said, students enrolled at Coleman Online Academy are not allowed to participate in UIL activities at their home campus.
No, the Coleman campus is a stand alone campus and students would be a full time Coleman High student.
Teachers will be Coleman High School teachers, unless the student takes advantage of dual credit or AP course offerings. In those instances, teachers would either be Midland College instructors or certified instructors from Ed Options.
